October 21st 2025. 5 months and 5 days ago. 22 weeks and 2 days. 156 days. 3,744 hours. 22 matches. 1,980 hours of football played. That is how long we have waited to celebrate a bit of glory and the fact that we did not lose a football match and boy, did we enjoy it.

The shouts at the end of the match from a relatively small bunch of individuals both on and off the pitch were as joyful as anything I have heard at the end of a game of football. Okay, we didn’t win, but the important thing was that we didn’t lose and how proud we all were of that group of lads out there putting in everything that they had.

The game itself was pretty irrelevant – no, we didn’t create many chances – yes, Stotfold hit the woodwork a couple of times – yes, there were loads of goalmouth scrambles and some desperate last ditch tackles – yes, we had Noah to thank for some superb saves, but in the end our lads fought for everything for 90 minutes (plus the 8 additional that seemed to go on for ever), and we didn’t concede.

A massive well done to all the players, management and support staff. Thankyou for your efforts.
