AFC 0 HITCHIN 8

The Blue Army endured a tough 90 minutes, suffering an 8-0 defeat in the Southern Central League after a challenging run of form.

Second-placed Hitchin Town continued their strong campaign, building on their previous win on the 6th March with another convincing performance. For AFC Dunstable, the match brought further disappointment, as former player Taylor Rhiney found the net against his old club. Rhiney, who previously scored 28 goals in 51 appearances for Barton Rovers and claimed the golden boot, has since made a notable move to the Canaries.

Dunstable’s ongoing winless streak has not gone unnoticed by manager Tyler Dunnell, who openly discussed the current rebuilding phase. He emphasized his commitment to developing a young squad that can compete at this level, while also considering the addition of experienced players to help lift the club from the bottom of the league and provide a much-needed fresh start.
